Watching "Magika" Twice

With magic and musical themes and directed by Edry KRU are some factors to attract me to cinema. After office hours..Ameng and i headed directly to Qlap Cineplex to feel the colors and beautiful cinematography of the movie. Credits to all casts and Edry precisely for creating a new dimension in Malaysia's film industry with limited budget (not comparing to Hollywood budget !) I really enjoy watching MAGIKA...

My favourite character in the movie is the "Datuk Bendahara" played by Sabri Yunos - full of wits in his Kelantanese dialect though his part in the movie is for only 5 minutes!

Malik's late mother appears in his dream. This scene really touches my heart.

Badang character played by Mawi is not really shown as someone strong. The old folks said that Badang could uproot a huge tree with just one hand but in the movie Badang is not even able to untie himself from a 1cm thick rope..hahahaha~ but overall his acting is quite good than his role in Jin Notti

Synopsis :

Ayu (Dania Danielle) and Malik (Fimie Don), two siblings are going through their darkest moments of life when their beloved mother just passed away. Malik feels so depressed believing he was the main cause of his mother’s death. During one of the evenings after a fight with his sister, Malik left to take a stroll in the forest. On and on he went until he realised he was lost and the next very moment, he appeared in another dimension called Magika. Will Ayu be able to rescue Malik and leave the mystical land of Magika?

Energetic Charm in Step Up 3D

Forget the poor script and plot ! and concentrate on the energetic dance and technics. Adam Sevani pulls off a great naughty playful moves at the start of the movie. The scene itself is enough to make me wanting to watch the rest of the movie.

Frankly i didn't have high hopes for the film at all. I'm not really into dance movies. But during the film, with each minute i became more and more in love with it. I mean WOW!! step up 3D delivers like no other dance movie out there. The 3D is incredible, the dancing is out of this world and the songs on the film are amazing!

My favorite scene is when Moose (Adam Sevani) and Camille (Alyson Stoner) did a rendition of Broadway's "I won't dance".

Melankolik Budak Setan

When people around pursued me to watch "Lagenda Budak Setan" at the cinema, I doubted the quality. Frankly, the movie's title itself didn't attract me at all. At first glance, the movie is just another typical stereotype love story adapted from the best novel seller of all time written by Ahadiat Akashah but after DVD-ing it, my review was viceversa. I really fall in love with the movie, the actors, the cinematography and the music score. I can't wait for its sequel named " Katerina"

The song theme "BILA CINTA" really touches my heart..it yet sounds fresh every time & complements the emotional scenes well~

(Azmi) Que Haidar's performance definitely stands out with his hot tempered and abusive behaviour. One of the scenes that etched my mind is when Ayu was badly beaten by Azmi.

The film revolves around Kasyah (Farid Kamil) known as 'Budak Setan' among his university classmates because he is badly behaved. All this changed when Kasyah meets a beautiful girl named Ayu (Lisa Surihani). Their relationship started to evolve when Kasyah decided to conduct some research in a rural area for a year. After he left, Ayu is forced into marriage to her ex boyfriend Azmi (Que Haidar), a womaniser and drunkard.
