No Plastic Bag Weekend Launched !!

ATTENTION all shoppers:
Remember to bring your re-usable bags as the "No Plastic Bag" drive will now be every Saturday and Sunday in Brunei.

The Ministry of Development (MoD) has inked deals with 18 stores to cut down on the use of plastic bags.
.
The "No Plastic Bag Weekend" initiative will start on March 26, the same day the global "Earth Hour" drive will be observed.
.
Aiming to reach a recycling rate of 15 per cent by 2015, and 20 per cent by 2020, the ministry is turning its focus to green initiatives by reducing, reusing and recycling.

The agreement with 18 retail stores reads that plastic bags distributed upon the sale of products will be withheld on weekends from March 26.

Local stores that signed the agreement include :

Hua Ho, Supa Save, Giant Hypermart, Jaya Hypermart, Millimewah, First Emporium, National Inn Emporium, Pertama Department Store, Pertama Jaya, Sin Kiew Hin, Sin Kim Huat, Soon Lee Megamart, Utama Grand, Teguh Raya, Warisan Utama Jaya, Body Shop, Mothercare and Bebeland.

Batu Bujang Pahang Hill's Trip

More than 60 members of Adventure Club & FUGEN paid a visit to Kampong Menunggol in Berambang Island. To reach the destination, we had to travel using boats and buses while the final leg of our trip had to be completed on foot – a roughly 0.926km walk – to the peak of Batu Bujang Pahang Hill.

.

Though the journey was challenging, we were treated to beautiful scenery and felt a sense of satisfaction and fun along the journey.

Eggs ???? haha..we had a game with those eggs which based on trustworthy..

The forest along our way to the hill is untarnished and there are signboards to guide visitors. At the peak of Batu Bujang Pahang Hill, the view of the Brunei River below mesmerized the visitors.

It's my 32nd Birthday today !! born at 6.15 am at the General Hospital in the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan (now the hospital's site is known as the Syariah Building).
